Triton Square

IMG_2253_triton_square3

Triton Square, by PLACE Design + Planning, is a central square for major public events at Regent’s Place. A granite paving module runs through the space and is extruded to different heights to create multiple seating opportunities around the performance area. The seating modules are the sculptural echo of the ‘Giants Causeway’. This sculpture contains seemingly infinite variation and areas of intricate enclosure. It is a unifying element for the new Triton Square. Cubic canopy trees are a central part of the composition both in terms of form and function. The dense canopies green the square but and provide shelter from the wind.
