Dr David Hickie has been a chartered member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI) for 40yrs. He has worked in the public sector, NGOs and private practice. He was CEO of the Society for the Environment (SocEnv -a federation of 21+ professional bodies) and was on the Landscape Institute Technical Committee in the 1980’s as part of the Working Group developing GLVIA1. He is also an international member of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) and has been a founder member of a number of new professional institutions including the Institution of Sustainability Professionals and the Institute of Public Sector Environmental Managers.
